What kind of tea does not affect sleep?

Black tea, Pu’er Ripe tea, old white tea, and aged tea will not affect your sleep at night. This kind of tea has been aged for a certain period of time, or has a high degree of fermentation. The caffeine and other substances in caffeine are relatively more balanced, and have less impact on sleep.

When drinking tea at night, you need to pay attention to:
1. Drink tea 3-5 hours before going to bed, so that it will not have a significant impact on sleep. Because for healthy adults, the effect of taking a small dose of caffeine will disappear within 3 to 4 hours.
2. To drink lighter tea, the effect of caffeine needs to reach a certain amount to be effective. At the same time, the human body generally has a certain tolerance to caffeine. For example, common cola, coffee, and chocolate all contain caffeine. Therefore, generally speaking, the caffeine precipitated by weak tea is limited, which can weaken the impact on sleep.
3. Drink tea with a high degree of fermentation, such as fully fermented black tea. Due to the fermentation of black tea, tea polyphenols are converted into polyphenol oxidation products such as theaflavins and thearubigins, which reduces their irritation to the stomach. At the same time, this kind of polyphenol oxidation products are very easy to interact with caffeine, so it can reduce the content of caffeine ingested directly when drinking tea, thereby reducing the risk of insomnia after drinking tea.
4. Green tea is rich in caffeine and tea polyphenols, which have a significant effect on nerve stimulation. Black tea, cooked Pu-erh tea, old white tea and the like not only do not cause insomnia, but help sleep. Especially old white tea, the effect is better when boiled and drunk.
